Dr. Reza Samvat holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Clarke University (USA) and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan Chiropractic University (USA).
Additionally, he has completed over 500 hours of postgraduate training in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute of Functional Neurology (USA), as well as postgraduate studies in Acupuncture, Applied Kinesiology, Neuro-Organisation Technique, and a Hyperbaric Oxygen Medical Training Certificate from HBOT USA and the International Hyperbaric Medical Association.
Upon relocating to Australia from the USA in 1991, he has since founded and directed clinics in Adelaide and Melbourne. The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a Non-Profit, Health Promotion Charity Mark and his wife began in 2014, after he was diagnosed with brain cancer. They began the Foundation when they realised how underfunded brain cancer was in Australia. The lack of funding meant very little research into treatments or cures for brain cancer and, as a result, not much has changed in the shocking brain cancer mortality rates over the past 30 years.
In 2014 their first fundraiser kicked off, Beanie for Brain Cancer Campaign. Since then, they’ve grown from selling a few hundred beanies locally to joining forces with the National Rugby League to create an annual Beanie for Brain Cancer Round.
Their Beanie campaign is now a nationally recognised fundraiser which has seen almost 1 million beanies sold!
